We recently used Tony's services to fix some stucco damage on our house. He gave us a free estimate and was able to perform the work quickly. He was very professional and took great pride in his work. We're very pleased with the job he did and would highly recommend him to others (and we're quite picky too). « Hide

I'd like to thank Tony and his crew at Stucco RX for the high quality workmanship they performed and professional attitude they had as they restored my home's stucco problems. I have a two story Engle home built in the year 2000. The first floor is stucco over concrete block and the stucco is simply cosmetic. However, the second floor is wood frame, in which the stucco is more critical to the home's structural integrity. The original stucco was applied way too thin, which resulted in some hairline cracks over time. I let those go too long and wind driven rain water apparently made its way to the underlying metal lathe (resulting in some rust) and to the plywood sheathing (causing some rot). The stucco started to sag and buckle in places. I had to paint my house and first I needed to get the stucco repaired.

Tony and team cut open the area. They found the problem was more extensive than was visible from the surface cracking. They explained the work that was required and provided a detailed quote.

I was home during the entire 3 day process. They replaced the plywood sheathing in areas where that was needed. Where possible, they saved the sheathing and replaced the lathe. Once that was done, they applied stucco to the repaired areas.

I had actually received a quote from SSCI (a competitor). They wanted more money to do that work.

However, Stucco RX not only did that work for less, they also did a LOT more (included in the price):
  • They walked the entire surface of my home and found every little area where some rust was leaching thru to the surface. They ground out the rust and applied a rust block coating.
  • They looked for any imperfections, such as where our dead bolt lock knocked out a chunk of stucco by the front door. They applied stucco to fix those kinds of small cosmetic problems.
  • They found all the hairline cracks around the house, routed them out, and filled them with stucco material. This is a better and more permanent fix than simply squeezing some caulk into the cracks. SSCI said: "let the painters do that".
  • I had drilled holes into the stucco window boarders to hold shutters during the hurricanes several years ago. They went around and filled in all those holes with stucco.
  • They also saw that I had a small area of rot in a fascia board, and they fixed it with all-purpose Bondo.
  • Finally, to address the thin stucco walls, they suggested that they shore up the entire wall with an additional coat of stucco to the thickness Engle should have applied back in 2000. They used Tapcon screws to ensure the thin stucco was firmly attached to the studs, applied a strong adhesive to the existing stucco, and layered on a new coat of stucco. Then sprayed on a sealant.

Bottom line, after Stucco RX left, my house was actually better than new. The entire house surface is prepared for painting. Their price was better than the competition, and they did a lot more work.

I highly recommend Stucco RX to anyone who requires stucco repair work. They may use my as a reference.

As a certified home inspector of 6500 homes and 25 years in the construction business, I usually don't recommend any Contractors, but in this case, when I see contractors like Stucco RX,who did such a great job, I have to say something.I'd like to recommend Stucco RX for a job well done. Prior to this home inspection I have never met the staff at Stucco Rx or Anthony Iasimone. I did a home inspection for my client and found the stucco wall cladding was not properly installed and the stucco wall had elevated moisture levels up to 4' above grade as indicated by a moisture meter and thermal imaging. Elevated moisture is a concern to me because of Mold and Termites.About 95% of the homes I have inspected have this type of stucco defect.I had indicated the elevated moisture in my report to my client.Mold is also a concern to me because it can lead to sick building syndrome and for people who are allergic to mold this is a toxic combination. Several months pasted after the inspection and my client wanted a re-inspection of the home.Upon the re-inspection I was surprised at what I had seen. The wall did not have elevated moisture due to the capillary break in the stucco, also to my surprise, the capillary cut was straight as an arrow. I told my client I was very impressed with the job.My client too was very impressed with the job they did. They told me that they will recommend Stucco RX to there friends and family. Thanks Tony, Richard Tan, Certified Building Inspector A+ American Home Inspections

We recently had several stucco contractors look at our house to determine the best way to handle some cracks in our stucco. One guy told us to call a painter who would caulk them. After a little research,we found that this was bad advise.Another contractor said repairing them would make them look worse.Tony and his crew explained that the cracks would have to be repaired and than the 2 walls re stuccoed. They did a great job matching the finish. After, they waterproofed and painted the walls. They were very neat and polite and we have already refered them to our neighbors. We've been having problems with water coming in through our exterior walls.A young man whom we found in the pennysaver said he could repair our Stucco, however he could not produce a license or pull a permit,so we decided to get another opinion and called this company. They seemed to know quite a bit about our problems with leaky stucco. Also, they explained to us that using someone other than a licensed stucco contractor could result in more problems, and that I could be responsible for any fines or damage. We let them do the work and they did a fantastic job.The workers showed up on time and took great care with removing and replanting my bushes. They were even nice enough to let us make a payment arrangement since we are financially strapped right now.If you need stucco, this company was very helpful.Thank you.
